Subsidiary Loan Agreement

On January 29, 2016, Subsidiary Loan Agreement was signed between the State Institution "Project Implementation Unit for Access to Green and Rural Development Finance" under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and CJS Microcredit Deposit Organization "HUMO" (CJS MCDO “HUMO”)

Pursuant to the Grant Agreement, signed on September 18, 2013 between the Republic of Tajikistan (“Beneficiary”) and the Asian Development Bank (“ADB”) (subject to the amendments made to this "Grant Agreement"), ADB has agreed to provide a grant to the Beneficiary in the amount equivalent to twenty one million five hundred and fifty thousand dollars (21,550,000 USD) for climate resilience in the basin of the Panj river.

According to the Grant Agreement, the Beneficiary should refinance the portion of the grant funds in TJS - currency of Tajikistan, in amount equivalent to one million nine hundred thousand dollars (1,900,000 USD) ("Credit line for climate resilience on agriculture"), (as specified in the Grant Agreement) and nine hundred twenty-four thousand dollars (924,000 USD) ("Credit line for diversification of income") (collectively named as, the "Credit lines”) for Participating Financial Institutions (PFI), according to the Refinancing Agreements to be concluded with PFI on the basis of terms and conditions, satisfactory to ADB.

Half of each of credit lines has been allocated in equal shares to IMON International and OXUS, and the remaining half (the "residual amount") will be allocated to PFI, to be selected by PIU under the Ministry of Finance on the conditions and requirements acceptable to ADB. After the selection, the portion of the residual amount will be allocated to CJS MCDO "HUMO" after the signing of the Subsidiary Loan Agreement.
