From February 10 to 17 in the framework of the implementation of the gender policy activities under the Project "Building Climate Resilience in the Pyanj River Basin" the working trip to the districts of Khatlon region was organized. The purpose of the trip was to conduct group discussions with village members who are engaged in crop and livestock production, cooperate with the Participating Micro-Finance Organizations (MFO) and receive loans. Seven group discussions were conducted. For the named event seven communities of seven districts were selected, one community from each district. Selection of communities was conducted in assistance with the coordinators of the micro credit organizations "OXUS" and "Imon international":

1. Muminabad district, Tuto village,
2. Vosse district, Qurbonshahid village,
3. Kulyab, Sari Osiyo village,
4. Hamadoni district, Margob village,
5. Parkhar district, Kuhandiyor village,
6. Temurmalik district, Kushkiya village and
7. Kumsangir district, Mahdumkuli village.

The specialist on gender and social development Naimov Nasrullo, as well as a national consultant on microfinance Kurbonov Murodullo conducted process group discussions. The main participants in this event were women and dehkan farmers who worked in their farms. There were discussed issues on climate change, working with loan and gender issues. It can be stated that the main problems faced by residents of villages in the region is lack of irrigation and drinking water, access to credit and the participation of women in the process of solving community and business problems. Regarding the procedure and conditions for the issuance of project loans, there was a great deal of controversy and discussion. The participants expressed their point of view regarding the terms of the loan. They were interested in long-term loans and grace periods. Micro loan organization explained to the participants options for obtaining and repayment of loans. The participants were actively involved in the process of discussions and made many suggestions regarding this subject.

Also in the process of group discussions, information on the families using the questionnaire was obtained. All information received by the questionnaires and the results of group discussions was collected in individual files and saved on the computer. The results of the work done will be used in improving the quality of work of the unit for cooperation with micro credit organizations and target communities.
