GREEN FINANCE

• One of the main achievements of  ‘’IMON INTERNATIONAL’’ this year was participation in ADB’s ‘’Green Finance’’ project.
• The project assists families in Tajikistan to increase access to energy and housing energy efficiency by financing ‘’smart ‘’ solutions of green energy

Project objectives:

• Promotion of energy efficient and eco-homes
• Providing loans to population and small businesses to purchase and install energy efficient roofs and doors, windows, heat insulating floors and sillies, advanced water pumps, solar water heaters and more other SGES products.

PROJECT REALIZATION ISSUES

• Lack of promotion campaigns advertising benefits of energy efficient technologies and alternative energy sources among the population.
• Low income level of population especially in rural areas, which is not allows them to invest in long term projects, related to energy efficient technologies.
• Due to absence of tax remissions for the import of SGES, inadequate and small selection of green equipment in market. Respectively expensive and often not very high quality products.
• Lack of development of this kind of products in local enterprises.

PROPOSALS FOR  PROJECT STIMULATION

• To start the Promotion Campaign for advertising benefits of alternative energy sources and energy efficient technologies on mass media.
• To create the favorable conditions in Tajikistan for the growth of local and private providers and manufacturers of energy efficient technologies.
• Propose to the government of Tajikistan on tax remissions for importers of energy efficient technologies, and also for local manufacturers.

SOCIAL PROJECTS

• Equipment of nursing home in J. Rasulov region with solar panels for lighting of premises.
• Equipment of 1 IMON office with Smart Green Energy Solution and creating demo area on that base .
